SongOnCue Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what information SongOnCue may collect, how we use it, and the choices available to users of the platform.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide when you create or use a SongOnCue account, manage a band or performer profile, participate in a performance session, submit a song request, send a tip, or contact us.
Account Information
This may include your name, email address, password information in hashed form, account status, band memberships, and account roles or permissions.
Band and Performance Information
This may include band or performer name, city, state, time zone, venue information, song lists, custom songs, song pricing, performance sessions, Instagram links, member roles, and related settings.
Song Request and Tip Information
When a guest uses SongOnCue, we may collect information about the selected song, request amount, priority amount, optional display name, optional message, tip amount, transaction status, session, venue, and timestamps.
Payment Information
Payments and payouts are processed by Stripe. SongOnCue may receive payment-related identifiers, transaction status, connected-account status, gross amounts, fees, payout-related status, and similar transaction information.
SongOnCue does not need to store card numbers or bank-account credentials when those details are collected directly by Stripe.
Technical Information
We may collect basic technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, log data, session information, and information needed to keep the service secure and functioning properly.
2. How We Use Information
We may use collected information to:
- create and manage SongOnCue accounts;
- operate band, member, song, session, request, and tipping features;
- process or help facilitate payments and payouts;
- display song requests and tips to authorized band members;
- provide account verification, password reset, and security features;
- respond to support or contact requests;
- prevent fraud, abuse, spam, or unauthorized access;
- maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
3. Public and Band-Only Information
Some information is intended to be shown publicly, such as a band's name, public song list, request prices, Instagram link, and active-performance information.
Other information, including requester names, requester comments, member permissions, account information, and detailed financial information, is intended only for authorized users (band members) or for internal service operation.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information or share any personal information to third parties. Some information may be shared with Stripe for financial transacttions and account setup.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate SongOnCue, including payment processors, hosting providers, security providers, and similar vendors only as needed for operational support.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our agreements, protect users, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect the rights and safety of SongOnCue or others.
5. Stripe
SongOnCue uses Stripe to process payments, connected accounts, and payouts. Information submitted directly to Stripe is also subject to Stripe's own privacy practices and terms.
SongOnCue may store Stripe account identifiers and transaction-related information necessary to operate the platform, but sensitive payment credentials may be collected directly by Stripe rather than by SongOnCue.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
SongOnCue uses cookies, sessions, and similar browser-storage technologies that are necessary for account login, security, preferences, and normal site operation.
The public site may also use browser local storage to remember that a visitor accepted the cookie notice.
If SongOnCue later adds nonessential analytics, advertising, or similar tracking technologies, additional consent controls may be provided where required.
7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain transaction and account history, resolve disputes, meet legal or accounting obligations, prevent fraud, and enforce our agreements.
Some information may remain in backups or transaction records for a limited period even after an account is deleted.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. However, no website, database, or online transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are responsible for protecting their passwords, devices, and account access.
9. Your Choices
Depending on the features available and applicable law, users may be able to update account information, change band information, adjust communication preferences, or request account deletion.
You may contact SongOnCue regarding access, correction, deletion, or other privacy-related questions.
10. Children
SongOnCue is intended for general live-entertainment use and is not designed as a service directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13.
11. Third-Party Links
SongOnCue may contain links to third-party services such as Instagram, Stripe, printing vendors, or other websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as SongOnCue develops. The effective date shown at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
