SongOnCue is a live song-request and tipping platform for bands and performers. Your audience scans your QR code, sees the songs you actually perform, sends requests, can pay extra for priority, and can tip the band.

Before you begin playing, start a performance session from your SongOnCue dashboard. Guests then scan your QR code and can browse your available song list, submit song requests, or tip the band. The QR code never changes, it works for all performances.

Incoming song requests and tips appear on your band's live dashboard so band members can manage the performance from their phones.

No. SongOnCue runs through the web browser. All band members and guests can use it from a phone, tablet, or computer without downloading or installing a separate app.

Yes. Your band decides how song requests work. You can accept paid song requests, or turn off paid requests for a performance and let your audience submit song requests for free.

Free requests still appear on your live dashboard so the band can manage the queue, and guests can still have the option to tip the band.

Yes. Your band sets its standard song-request price. You can also raise or lower the request price for an individual performance.

Yes. You can give individual songs a special request price. This can be useful for longer songs, difficult songs, or songs your band only wants to play when the request amount makes it worthwhile.

Guests can see the "Songs On Cue" and amount paid; this encourages guests to voluntarily increase the amount they pay for a song request to bring it higher on the list. The extra amount is shown to the band as "priority", helping the band see which requests guests value most. Guests pay instantly with Apple Pay, Google Pay or by credit card.

Priority helps organize requests, but the band still controls the live performance and decides when or whether a song is appropriate to play.

No. A song request is not a guarantee that the song will be played. The band can "Accept" or "Decline" a song request. The band always keeps control of the set, timing, venue requirements, and overall performance. The band can pause requests at anytime during a performance.

SongOnCue is designed so a declined song request does not become a completed charge to the customer. Final payment handling depends on the payment status and the payment-processing workflow.

The goal is simple: if the band cannot accept the request, the customer should not pay for a song that was declined. The band has control to "Accept" or "Decline" a song request.

SongOnCue charges a 5% platform fee on paid song requests. There are no monthly fees, subscriptions or sign up charges. No fee on tips.

Stripe payment-processing fees apply separately, currently estimated at (2.9% + 0.30).

No. SongOnCue takes 0% of tips. Your tips belong to the band.

Stripe's applicable payment-processing fee will still be deducted from the transaction.

Choose from the SongOnCue master catalog of over 3,000 popular songs, or add your own band-specific songs. Each song includes an estimated length, helping your band manage the set and keep track of remaining performance time.

Guests only see songs your band has made available for requests (playable songs).

Yes. Bands can add additional songs that are not in the SongOnCue catalog, including an artist name, genre, estimated song length, and an optional special request price.

SongOnCue generates a printable QR code for your band that sends guests to your public song-request page. Guests will see when the performance starts and can tip or request a song and follow the band on social media from the QR code. You can place the QR code on table stands, signs, business cards, or anywhere your audience can scan it. SongOnCue provides you different downloadable size digital QR code images for your band. Guests pay instantly with Apple Pay, Google Pay or by card.

When a performance is active, guests can see the song queue, request songs and tip the band from that page.

Yes. SongOnCue includes an "AI-powered Promo Creator" that helps bands create custom promotional artwork designed to encourage guests to scan their SongOnCue QR code.

Choose options such as your music style, instruments, performance type, mood, and visual style, and SongOnCue uses those selections to create promotional artwork for your band. No design experience or AI prompting is required.

You can use the finished artwork to promote your SongOnCue page at performances or in your band's marketing.

Yes. Multiple members of the same band can access the active performance and see incoming song requests and tips.

This is useful when more than one band member helps manage requests during a show.

Yes. One SongOnCue account can belong to multiple bands. You can be a member or manager of one band and the Account Owner of another, then switch between bands from your dashboard at anytime.

Yes. Each performance session can be associated with a venue, allowing the same band to use SongOnCue wherever it performs. The QR code stays the same.

Yes. You can temporarily raise or lower the minimum song-request price for a specific performance without changing your band's normal standard price.

Higher special prices assigned to individual songs can still remain in effect.

SongOnCue is built first around live bands and musicians, but the same request-and-tipping concept can also work for solo performers, dueling pianos, karaoke hosts, DJs, and other live entertainment.
